What is the 2023 Diversity in Sports Conference?

The Diversity in Sports Conference will be held on June 23rd to 25th. This conference is dedicated to administrators, leaders, coaches and officials that work in amateur sports including, but not limited to: College and University recreation and athletics leaders, high school sport administrators, National Sport Organizations, Provincial Sport Organizations and grassroots community leaders.

There is also a component of the conference that is dedicated to Emerging BIPOC leaders between the ages of 18 to 30.

Where will the Conference be held?

The conference will be held at the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites. 5875 Airport Rd., Mississauga, ON L4V 1N1.

Is there a discount on accommodations?

Yes, there is! More information will be provided in your ticket confirmation email.

Will food and beverages be provided?

Breakfast and lunch will be provided for the conference. Participants are on their own for dinner. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided throughout the day.

What is the cost of the 2023 Diversity in Sports Conference?

Emerging BIPOC Leaders - $50 + HST;

Sport Administrators - $110 + HST (2-day);

Coaches & Officials - $70 + HST (1-day).

 

Can I attend the conference virtually?

No, this year the conference is in-person only.

 

What is the dress code?

The Diversity in Sports Conference is casual – we want you to be comfortable!

 

What time does the conference start?

On Saturday, June 24th, breakfast starts at 7:00 AM EST and ends at 8:45 AM EST. Opening remarks begin at 9:00 AM EST.

On Sunday, June 25th, breakfast starts at 7:00 AM and ends at 8:00 AM. Opening remarks begin at 8:30 AM.

​

Will presentations be in English and French?

All presentations, including keynote speakers, will be presented in English.

​

Is there a designated quiet space or Prayer Room? 

The Vista Foyer is not in use during the sessions, delegates are free to access this space at those times. Please be respectful when sharing this area with others.
